S.T.A.R. Academy

S.T.A.R. Academy (Students That Are Ready)

S.T.A.R. Academy is an early intervention program designed to enrich and enhance the academic performance of economically and academically disadvantaged and/or at-risk students from the Lehigh Valley. S.T.A.R. Academy serves as a comprehensive school-university-business-parent partnership initiative.

S.T.A.R. Academy Summer Camp

The 2014 Summer Camp will be held during 3 weeks in July at Lehigh University. The camp will be held for high school students who are enrolled in the Bethlehem Area School District. During the 3 week camp students will have academic sessions focusing on chemistry, biology, physics, creative writing, etc. Enrichment programs will consist of a gym night, field trips to Lost River Caverns, and a local theater. Campers will interact with first-year students, upperclassmen, and international students.

All students must be nominated by a BASD employee. Full availability is required, no partial weeks. Transportation to and from camp is not provided by Lehigh.
